Uttara Kannada is situated at the Western Ghat belt. It is a hilly region & dominated by tribes with diverse forestry. The big projects like mining, power plants construction etc. pose a threat to bio-diversity.
Environment threat is the major issue we are facing.
Government should expedite in maintaining the greenery.
