Challenges of the district : Our research with local communities Many water resources of the district have dried
up. Gradually the ground water level is also depleting. All this
is leading to water scarcity in the district.
Deforestation is increasing the rate of soil erosion, thus affecting
the natural flow of the near by rivers.
Governments policies for constructing dams in and across the district
is affecting the fishing and farming communities.
