Challenges of the district : Our research with local communities In many villages, still there is no supply of electricity.
We face water shortage. During summers we really struggle to survive.
Humans and animals use the same river, this has polluted the water.
There are some industries which emit poisonous gases leading to
airborne diseases.
Women too work and earn a living by working in the factories; they
are exploited by making them work for long hours and giving them
inadequate payment.
Women literacy rate is very weak.
