Brief About Mumbai District
Mumbai is a cluster of Seven Islands and derives its name from Mumbadevi, the patron goddess of the koli fisher folk, its oldest inhabitants. Mumbai pulsates with activity. It is a city that is disciplined by no time frame neither day nor night. Mumbai is also the country's financial powerhouse, the nation's industrial heartland, and its economic nerve center. Dazzling shopping arcades, exciting sport activity, night clubs & discotheques, theatre & music, gourmet restaurants and interesting sightseeing. Mumbai offers visitors a heady mix of all this and more. The harbour and widebay between the city and its main land has allowed Mumbai to be a natural shipping and trading centre.

Mumbai is divided into straight lines in terms of places starting from South Mumbai to North Mumbai, etc.. Also Mumbai Suburbs are known as East or West as per their location on either side of the railway tracks. We are taking Colaba as the point of commencing the guided tour and will follow the path accordingly.
