Mission

To propel the power of community towards the cause of Child Rehabilitation and Adoption. We will promote, collaborate, network, advocate, and act as a CATALYST in related social initiatives. We will be an unstoppable force, inspiring and channelising action.

Aims/Objects

- To work towards the awareness and promotion of the right to dignified living.
- To provide through a web-site, access to a repository of information on social issues / initiatives related to Child
Welfare, women's concerns etc.

- To initiate research and documentation leading to publication of papers/ books/ training material/
presentations/videos/films, with a view to increasing awareness.

- To network, assist, promote, encourage, train and support agencies involved in social development of people at
local, national and international levels.

- To provide assistance to established agencies in the social sector, in the areas of technology and automation,
streamlining of procedures and practices, training and capacity building etc., leading to enhancement of
performance.

- To encourage partnerships, and participate in alliance building efforts of agencies involved.
- To provide a forum for interactive sessions between various participant segments of society.
- To work towards the sustainability of special causes of agencies, by mobilizing funds through sponsorship,
memberships, donations, exhibitions, contributions etc., to provide support services and resources.

- To provide opportunities and to facilitate and promote developmental work for the participant sections of society.
- To do all other such things, as the Society may consider necessary, conducive or incidental to the attainment or
enlargement of the aforesaid aims and objects or any one of them.

Brief We work with 112 CARA - registered agencies across the country and, act as facilitators to the adoption stakeholders, bringing them together on a common platform. We work through Government bodies, Associations of Parents and Adoptees, Professionals, Researchers and others. Our initiatives include information dissemination, research, capability, capacity and community building, promotion and awareness, and facilitation. We own 2 Chat Groups– Adoption_experiences@yahoogroups.com for adoption stakeholders and Adoptees_voices@yahoogroups.comfor Adult Indian Adoptees.CSA Founder Members and Office Bearers are a group of highly qualified professionals each, well established and recognized in his/her field of work. Also, each member is associated in one way or another with the cause of Child Welfare and is totally committed to the cause. CSA is backed by the strength of a 1000+ volunteers spread across Mumbai, Pune and Delhi in India and in the UK and US, overseas. Volunteers participate both, through contributions and active managing committee / volunteer support. CSA initiatives leverage the strengths of our office bearers, volunteers and stakeholders.

Programmes

CSA Services are built around our twin objectives of enhancing the total number of adoptions in the country and, improving the quality of institutionalized child care. As a matter of practice, our initiatives are backed by Field Research studies. Also, to the extent possible, our service delivery is routed through/delivered with, the assistance of stakeholders who are already active players such as established Adoption Agencies, ACAs, Aparents’ Associations, Adoptee Forums and Government departments.
