| Objectives |
- Provide
information to seniors through publishing, holding seminars
and discussions.
- Undertake
various services for their support and welfare and enable
them to live productive, meaningful and interesting
lives, drawing upon their knowledge, skills and experience.
- Construct
a database to determine needs of senior citizens in
India and devise ways to meet them.
- Build
awareness by dissemination of such data.

services that cater to needs.
- Mobilise
senior citizens into an identity group.
- Undertake
advocacy with government and public welfare bodies.

Dignity Foundation's motto is to take care of Senior Citizens
and not just give the seniors a place to live. Mira Road
residents are encouraged to nourish good mood and all
their needs -- Physical as well as mental -- are taken
care of.
Dignity lifestyle is a 25 acre project by Dignity
Foundation for active and productive living for the senior

objective of this service is to extend a social support
system to the senior citizens. The caller most often calls
with reports of feeling bored, lonely, depressed etc.

a time when the Police force in Indian metroes are worried
about increasing violence to senior citizens, in two cities
the Police have tied up with Dignity Foundation in a door
to door care delivery to senior citizens living alone. In
Mumbai on June 23rd and Kolkata on June 29th, 2008 the Polcie
Commissioners have inaugurated the NGO effort as a joint

The BMC-Dignity Foundation "Joint Venture" Agreement
In line with Dignity Foundation's practice of providing
structural opportunities to senior citizens for productive
ageing, an Action Plan was worked out with the Brihanmumbai
Municipal Corporation (BMC) towards the objective of 'Keeping
Mumbai Clean'
If a small city like Surat can achieve unprecedented success
in cleaning up the city, so can Mumbai through senior citizens

On September 21st 2004 at the Y B Chavan Centre Convention
Hall, the Dignity Dementia Care was successfully launched
by Dr Noshir H Wadia in a hall over flowing with senior
citizens and family members of Dementia affected persons.
Along with it the FIRST DAY CARE FOR DEMENTIA FFECTED
PERSONS. The occasion was World Alzheimer's Day. Partnering
Wockhardt Hospitals, Dignity Foundation launched the first
ever centre to be opened in the city to deliver day care
services to dementia persons.

LONELINESS MITIGATION PROJECT

Under
this programme, every fortnight, Dignity Foundation, Mumbai,
runs a Bus Trip to a place nearby Mumbai with about 50
people on board. Only those people who live alone either
single or as couple are eligible to go on the trip. A
full day programme of fun,games, food and an interesting
outing is arranged with a view to help them build a network
