What We Do

Mobile Creches works at multiple levels to move closer to its vision of a "just and caring world". ALL have a stake in the future of the country and ALL must take responsibility for the future of those at the bottom of the pyramid - the most vulnerable, invisible, young children of India.

Children
Day-care is integrated with supplementary Nutrition and Healthcare, an Age Appropriate Learning programme, followed by School Admission and Support, to transform our children's world into a secure, enriching and healthy one.

Community
The early years of childhood are a period of maximum growth, vulnerability, as well as maximum dependence on adult care. Hence it is vital that we reach out to the family and other members of the community. The attitudes and actions of parents, grandparents, siblings, neighbours, teachers and social groups deeply influence the world of a child.

Care of human life at its most vulnerable stage of early childhood requires sensitivity, knowledge and skills - yet it has never been given value in society. That makes training for childcare services a huge unmet need, and developing childcare workers, our most challenging task.

Civil Society and State
The battle for children's rights is not an easy one. It includes interventions at national level policy meetings, lobbying during the formulation of new laws and building pressure from the ground up. We have to work with Partners to perform the watchdog function on behalf of the children and mainstream children's Issues.
